![]() Having a patent pending does not mean the product is any good at all it just means that you made something differently than anyone else so you get a patent so it can't be copied. I posted a pic at the bottom of the post. Your picture shows the velocity stacks the first picture I posted does not but I found a picture that does here. Those velocity stacks on the PR look almost exactly like the velocity stacks of the Baron's BAK. Had you done your homework to it's conclusion you would know this. The PR with it's patent pending does not produce any more power than Baron's BAK and at most maybe 2 HP more than the BAM. You are a fellow brother here and I respect that and you for that matter but your homework is incomplete. I believe in the mod I did and you believe in the mods you have done.at the end of the day we both own a Raider and you are my forum brother and for that I am grateful. I spent 6+ hours putting in the PR Racing Hi-Flo air kit, I will be posting a pictorial of how I ran all the vacuum lines and oil catch can.īill I don't want to get into a drawn out pissing match on this. Pingel is another company that I purchased the oil catch can from after exhaustive research, their catch can is has a patent pending.I don't just throw up garbage post, I do my homework and I do all the work myself. Any company that patents a product you know they have thrown a shit ton of R&D into it. Look at the two black billet aluminum stacks in my photo, that my friend is the difference worth putting a patent on. The Barons and others are just filters and modifications to the air box. However, if you ride overseas, they will be posting RON in most cases.Quote from: Dedub on Jun 22, 2014, 11:54:02 am If you looked at my photos Bill, the difference is the velocity stacks.these two velocity stacks are patented and separate the PR from all others. Since the manufacturer recommends RON 95 no one including Ivan would recommend less than US premium gas.īottom line in the US, Mid range is probably acceptable as a substitute, but with premium you are always in the proper zone. Retail gasoline stations in the United States sell three main grades of gasoline based on the Anti knock Index octane level or AKI: Regular (the lowest octane fuel–generally 87 AKI) Midgrade (the middle range octane fuel–generally 89–90 AKI) Premium (the highest octane fuel–generally 91–94 AKI). For example, a 95 RON plus an 87 MON averages to a 91 AKI, which is the octane rating you would see displayed on a U.S. The AKI US Octane is an average of two other octane numbers, the RON and the Motor Octane Number (MON), which are determined by two different laboratory tests. On -1 under general Specifications it says Fuel type for all but CA, RON Research Octane 95. It runs terrific! I also bought a shop manual for it. I bought a 2021 Vaquero and have Ivan's tune. You can agree or disagree but that's what works for me and that's all that matters. Race Track, Wal-Mart, Quick Trip and other no names have gas just as it comes from the refinery. When that's not available I use BP, Shell, Chevron etc mid grade. I use COSTCO, because they are right around the corner and cheaper than anywhere else and the pump says 'Top Tier'. Come down a gear or two and I haven't experienced any problems. If you're in a higher gear and low RPM and crack the throttle wide open you'll gonna get some knock (pre-ignition remember?). Yes I'm Ivanized and I've used mid grade from day one. I've always been lead to believe that most if not all brand named or top tier gas contain detergents, etc. Premium is supposed to burn slightly slower to prevent pre-ignition, or engine knock if you like that term better, in high compression engines. From what I understand, and that may not be much, the difference is in the rate of burn. I wish I were sensitive enough to tell the difference of how much power I can feel between mid and premium gas but I'm not. ![]()
